Returns & Refunds
We want you to be happy with your purchase! Unused stained glass supplies purchased in-store or online for studio pickup may be returned within 30 days of purchase with proof of purchase. Items must be in their original condition and packaging.
For safety and quality reasons, cut glass, custom-cut materials, opened supplies, and clearance or final-sale items are not eligible for return.
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Online orders picked up at the studio are subject to the same return policy as in-store purchases.
If you have any questions about a return, please contact us. We're happy to help!
Absolutely. Since your studio is in Pennsylvania and you offer classes to the public, I would structure this as an accessibility and service animal policy, rather than a "no animals" policy. Under the ADA, businesses open to the public generally must allow trained service dogs in areas where customers and participants are permitted, and Pennsylvania also prohibits public-accommodation discrimination involving the use of guide or support animals for a disability. Here is a version tailored to a stained glass teaching studio, with the safety considerations built in:
Accessibility & Service Animal Policy
Accessibility
Kraken Glass Studios is committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible environment for all students and visitors. We strive to provide reasonable accommodations and modifications to our policies, practices, and procedures when necessary to allow individuals with disabilities to participate in our classes, workshops, and studio activities.
If you require accommodation to participate safely and fully in a class or workshop, please contact us in advance whenever possible. We will work with you to determine whether a reasonable accommodation or modification can be provided without fundamentally altering the nature of the class or creating a legitimate safety risk.
Because stained glass activities involve sharp glass, cutting and grinding equipment, soldering irons, hot materials, chemicals, and other studio hazards, certain activities may require individualized safety considerations. Any safety determination will be based on the specific circumstances and actual risks involved, rather than assumptions or generalizations about a disability.
Service Animals
Service animals are welcome in areas of the studio where members of the public and class participants are permitted.
Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a service animal is generally a dog that has been individually trained to perform work or tasks directly related to an individual's disability. Emotional support, comfort, therapy, or companion animals that do not meet the ADA definition of a service animal are not considered service animals under the ADA. State or local laws may provide additional protections in some circumstances.
When it is not obvious that a dog is a service animal, studio staff may ask only the following two questions:
Is the dog required because of a disability?
What work or task has the dog been trained to perform?
We will not ask about the nature or details of an individual's disability, require medical documentation, require proof of certification or training, or require the animal to demonstrate its task. Service animals are not required to wear a vest, identification tag, or special harness.
Service animals must remain under the control of their handler at all times. The handler is responsible for the care, supervision, feeding, and toileting of the service animal. The studio is not responsible for the care or supervision of a service animal.
Service animals may accompany their handlers in areas of the studio where the public or students are permitted, subject to applicable law and legitimate safety requirements.
A service animal may be excluded from the studio or a particular activity if:
The animal is not housebroken;
The animal is out of control and the handler does not take effective action to control it; or
The animal's presence creates a direct and significant safety risk that cannot reasonably be eliminated or reduced through appropriate modifications.
Any decision to restrict a service animal based on safety concerns will be made on an individualized assessment of the actual circumstances and risks involved. The decision will not be based on assumptions about a disability, breed, or general fear of animals.
If a service animal is appropriately excluded from a specific area or activity, we will make reasonable efforts to provide the individual with access to the goods, services, or instruction without the animal, as required by applicable law.
Studio Safety
For everyone's safety, service animals should remain in a location that does not obstruct walkways, workstations, emergency exits, or access to studio equipment. Handlers are responsible for maintaining control of their service animals and ensuring that the animal does not interfere with studio activities or the safety of other participants.
If a service animal's presence creates a safety concern related to a specific activity, the instructor may work with the participant to identify a reasonable modification, such as repositioning the participant's workstation or adjusting the location of the animal, when feasible.
Participants are responsible for informing the instructor of any accommodation needs that may affect their ability to safely participate in workshop activities. We encourage students to contact the studio before their class so that we have an opportunity to discuss potential accommodations and plan for a safe and successful experience.
We are committed to treating all students and visitors with respect and to providing equal access to our programs and services.
